2009 "Keep On The Watch" District Convention

Everyone was motivated by this year's convention. It was more than anyone expected, especially the drama. Many people were shedding tears during the drama. Even brothers. It was truly a deeply felt lesson for each person attending.

This year I attended the Gilead meeting with my spiritual parents. I did this last year also. Each time I pray fervently for their acceptance. It is the reason they came to Canada. I hope that they can continue serving where the need is greater, in our territory here. It would be wonderful though, if they were able to serve as missionaries. I know this is their main goal and desire. I'm proud of everything they do for Jehovah's name. I learn much from their faithful and "whole-souled" example.

The Bethel meeting was also motivating for me personally. This year they did not say "single sisters need not apply". They did tell us to fill out applications. I am filling out an application for "temporary" work. I could work at Bethel for one month or longer, and possibly be kept permanently. I can't imagine anywhere I'd rather be, aside from paradise. I am also applying to do food staff for the Regional Building Committee. Hopefully I can be accepted.

Right now is our Circuit Overseer visit. We are so blessed to have this visit immediately following the convention. Brother Pish is teaching us so many valuable things. Sister Pish continues to show love and consideration for each individual within Southgate Congregation. It warms my heart to visit with them, and sadly tomorrow is their last day with us. Their visit always seems too short. Although everyone is tired, we all enjoy the rich spiritual food Jehovah keeps supplying.

Recently Chan Sook returned home to Korea, however, we have a new addition to our Korean family here. Su Yeong oppa. He is my new big brother. He is very spiritual and mature. I appreciate these qualities. Also I like that he is shy. Usually older people are not this way. Su Yeong oppa does not look his age either. He has an adorable face. I'm happy when I see him. I want to become a regular pioneer like my oppa. He is setting a good example for me so I should do my best too.
